SERVE
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
-1 Peter 4:10 NIV
PRAYER SHAWLS
Prayer shawls knitted by the church are distributed to those who are in need of prayer. They can be laid across the lap or wrapped around the shoulders so that the wearer is reminded of God’s steadfast love in the midst of trials and the undying support of our faith community.
Our knitting group meets every other Tuesday @10am & 6:30pm. If you would like to join the group, please contact the church office. Prayer shawls are blessed during worship periodically throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome at the Free Wonderful Wednesday Community Dinner in the church’s fellowship hall 5:30PM-7PM each month on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Contact our church office or visit our Facebook page for Food Pantry distribution times.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…” -Matthew 25:35 NIV
United Methodist Men
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. -Proverbs 27:17 ESV
MISSION: “To help men grow in Christ, So others may know Christ.”
The men of our church gather on the third Saturday of every month @8am over breakfast to pray, study God’s Word, and serve our community.
United Methodist women
“The greatest challenge of the day is: how to bring about a revolution of the heart, a revolution which has to start with each one of us.” -Dorothy Day
MISSION: “United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”
The women of our church gather on the first Monday of every month @11am.
UMW craft time takes place on the first Monday of every month @10am.
While these are a few of our church sponsored ministries, we also serve our neighbors as a church through Habitat for Humanity, Youth Mission trips, West View on the James, Goochland Cares, water well in TN, Jubilee Project, Rise Against Hunger, UMCOR, and many more. You will also find people from this church serving in our community individually because loving God and loving our neighbors isn’t just something we do on certain days on the church calendar, it’s how we live.
