GSUMC – Role Description

Ministry Area: Resource Ministries - Trustees, Church Cleaning
Purpose
Term: 3 years.
Role Summary:
This person is a liaison with the cleaning service which is contracted to clean the Education Wing and the Fellowship Hall once a week, and should be the one to voice any commendation or lack of satisfaction for the job being done. Presently this person is also responsible for the cleaning of the Sanctuary and the basement of the church. Total time necessary to complete responsibilities averages about 6 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
1. May be elected to the Board of Trustees.
2. Vacuuming, dusting, wet & dry mopping.
3. Picking up bulletins and putting hymnals back in racks.
4. Cleaning sinks, counter tops, toilets, mirrors, refrigerators and freezers.
5. Emptying trash.
6. Purchasing paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, cleaning supplies & equipment, light bulbs & trash bags.
7. Replacing paper towels, toilet tissue and hand soap
